Program Format & Inclusions

Unlike conventional leadership programs which often overload leaders with abstract models and theory, our approach is pragmatic and pointed. It accelerates leadership skills by enabling leaders to practise on real challenges in the context of their work with structured reflection.

All programs include 3 key elements:

Individual 360 Feedback Diagnostic
Debrief & Executive Coaching Sessions

Developed by Human Synergistics, the Life Styles Inventory™ (LSI) is designed to promote constructive change with the feedback helping leaders more clearly understand what is currently supporting and hindering their effectiveness.

The profile is supported with a comprehensive practitioner debriefing which will guide participants to develop more constructive styles of thinking and behaving.

The diagnostic will “put skin in the game” for each leader. Subsequent executive coaching sessions help each leader translate the insights from their profile into development goals.

Learning Modules

We deliver 6-8 days of interactive and engaging workshops designed to position relevant principles of self, team and enterprise leadership.

The content of all workshops are designed in consultation with you. A critical part of the program is working as a learning team to tackle a real world business challenge as vehicle for learning.

This will be used as the stimulus and a practice ground to learn leadership by doing leadership.

Group Coaching

To support improved teamwork and provide opportunities to “work out” together we provide group coaching using Action Learning.

Action Learning is an elegantly powerful problem-solving tool as it will help leaders to gain clarity on complex problems while developing greater leadership capacity; team effectiveness and skills in collaboration.

The core of this process is a set of ground rules that ensure leaders use individual and team inquiry rather than just advocacy. This shifts the focus for leaders to avoid generating solutions just from habitual patterns they know as they must seek new perspectives to be successful.

Additional Inclusions

For deeply immersive work with transformative shifts, we may also suggest additional elements:

  • Used in the first module, “Leading Self”, this 1-day onsite experiential workshop leverages the wisdom of horses.  Leaders have the opportunity to work with horses directly and learn from them how to lead with awareness, relationship and regulation. This workshop is facilitated by Meg Kirby at her farm near Daylesford.

You can find out more about Meg and her work here.

  • Used as a leadership and team learning process, The Flow Game is a powerful tool for creating an interactive reflection, dialogue and action space for groups, teams and individuals.  Working through a game is a simple way to ground, strengthen and bring clarity and flow to human beings, their life, leadership and actions.

You can find out more about it here:

  • Used as an underpinning framework or as stand-alone teachings, The Thinking Environment is a process that generates the best independent thinking.

The quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first. And the quality of our thinking depends on the way we treat each other while we are thinking. After years of research and observation, Nancy Kline, founder of the Thinking Environment methodology, recognised that people generate their best thinking if the people around them behave in ten specific ways.

The ten behaviours that generate the finest thinking and have become known as The Ten Components of a Thinking Environment. They are:

    • Attention

    • Equality

    • Ease

    • Appreciation

    • Encouragement

    • Feelings

    • Information,

    • Difference

    • Incisive Questions

    • Place

Each Component is powerful individually, but the presence of all ten working together gives this process its transformative impact.  You can find out more about the ten components here.

Participating in Hamish's Enterprise Leadership Program was transformational, both professionally and personally.
